Sustainability at 22live – Progress & Targets for 2025
At 22live, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. While 2025 brought no dramatic shifts in operations, it has been a meaningful year for building on the progress made in 2023 and 2024. We transitioned to a new carbon measurement platform, upheld our AGF Greener Supplier status for a second year, and sustained key environmental commitments such as 100% renewable electricity and zero waste to landfill. With a major site move ahead in 2026, our focus has remained on refining our model for long-term, scalable sustainability
-
In 2025, we achieved a further reduction in our emissions intensity, recording 247 tonnes of CO₂e per £1M revenue, down from 356 in 2024 — a 30% year-on-year improvement. This continued progress highlights the carbon efficiency of our operational model and our commitment to sustainable growth. As we prepare for a significant expansion in 2026, our focus remains on tracking and reducing emissions relative to business activity, using our 2025 performance as the new benchmark.
-
In 2024, we achieved a major sustainability milestone—100% landfill diversion, ensuring all waste was recycled, repurposed, or responsibly managed. We're proud to have maintained this achievement throughout 2025, despite a 74% increase in total waste (from 2,118 kg in 2024 to 3,689 kg in 2025), driven by steady business growth and essential equipment purchases. As we prepare for a significant site move in 2026, our focus remains on minimising waste intensity, improving reuse practices, and embedding sustainable thinking across all operations.
-
All electricity used at 22live in 2025 continued to be sourced from 100% renewable energy, supporting our commitment to low-carbon operations. With a full year of improved electricity monitoring in place, we’ve gained clearer visibility of usage patterns, helping us better plan for future efficiencies—particularly as we prepare to scale up operations at our new site in 2026.
-
Water consumption remained steady in 2025, matching 2024 levels despite an increase in staff and project activity. This reflects continued efficiency in how we use water across the business. We remain committed to monitoring usage closely and maintaining responsible water management as we grow.
-
Our ‘Plant a Tree for an Employee’ initiative remains active through our partnership with the Future Forest Company, with every new hire contributing directly to reforestation efforts. While we are not currently pursuing additional offsetting schemes, 2026 provides a valuable opportunity to evaluate the long-term impact of our emissions reduction strategy before committing to further action.

Building on the stability and steady growth of 2025, our sustainability objectives for 2026 will reflect the changes ahead—particularly our move to a significantly larger site and increased operational output. Our goals are to:
✔ Maintain emissions efficiency by continuing to monitor tCO₂e per £1M revenue as a key metric, even as absolute emissions are expected to rise with increased activity and headcount.
✔ Sustain 100% landfill diversion while improving waste tracking and identifying further opportunities to minimise unnecessary packaging and disposal.
✔ Explore energy efficiency strategies within our new premises, using existing monitoring tools to guide decisions on equipment use, lighting, and heating.
✔ Strengthen our sustainable procurement mindset by considering environmental impact alongside commercial viability when selecting suppliers and equipment. ✔ Encourage internal sustainability leadership, embedding environmental responsibility more deeply into day-to-day culture, from project planning to staff-led green ideas.
